See your city come to life as you run and navigate virtual checkpoints with the District Race app. Score points based on how many checkpoints and challenges you complete within the time limit of 1 hour or 2 hours.
TEAM - Form a team of 4 and collect points while you explore together. Points on the Live Leaderboard are the cumulative effort of all 4 team members.
INDIVIDUAL – Run your own race and unleash your full potential.
OPEN - The Open category is a 2-hour race with over 100 checkpoints and challenges, taking explorers on a journey to discover new places around their city. Explorers can join individually or as a team of 4*.
DISCOVERY - The Discovery Grid is a family friendly experience that introduces explorers to District Race with a smaller grid and a shorter 1-hour time limit. There are over 50 checkpoints and challenges around the Base location. Explorers can join individually or as a team of 4*.

What comes with my registration?
You'll receive a limited edition District Race KL event Tee, as well as an awesome drawstring bag.
Participants who complete the race and cross the finish line will receive our AR-enabled personalised finisher medal.
How do I collect my race pack?
Event Pack Collection will be from 25- 27 October, 10am- 9pm at The Starling Mall Event Hall 2, Level 5. If you're unable to make it, you may nominate a friend to collect on your behalf. They'll need to bring along a soft or hard copy of your Eventbrite ticket and ID for verification.
Are the District Urban Races, individual or team events?
District Urban Races can be run as either an individual, or as a team of 4. So get your friends together and sign up now!
If I run as part of a team, do all team members need to stay together?
No, you can choose whether to stay together or run separately. Your team score will be the combined score of the 4 individuals

How do i win a District Urban Race?
Winners will be identified with the following criteria:
1. Highest Score
2. Shortest time taken to achieve that score in the event of a tie.

What happens at the District Base
The District Base is the pulse of the event, bringing together District explorers before they journey onto the Grid. Located in the heart of the city, District racers can experience awesome activations, augmented Reality games, great food and pumping music.
Are there refunds?
There are no refunds available.
Can I transfer my registration to another person
We understand that change is the only constant. We’d rather you run the city, but if you can’t make it, you can transfer your registration. There will be an administration charge of RM20, and you’re missing out on a potentially life-changing event. But you won’t be there to find out, will you?
Can spectators join?
The event is closed to registered participants only. Don't miss out on the fun, register today.
Can Children join?
Registration is required for the participants aged 12 and above to join the race. Children under the age of 12 can enter the race for free, by joining an adult.
For safety reasons, each participant under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult The age of the participants is based on the event date
How will safety issues be managed at District Race KL?
The safety of our explorers our number one priority and underlies the entire District Race experience. For starters, our grids are designed with safety in mind (e.g. avoiding highways, cross walks with busy traffic) and we educate users through safety guidelines and rules (e.g. no jaywalking) prior to race day. We also work with local authorities in Malaysia to ensure that the District Race experience is a pleasant and safe one for explorers and members of the public.
District Race KL will also be held in conjunction with car-free Sunday in Kuala Lumpur on 3 November.

How can I edit my information (e.g. T-shirt size)?

I've signed up for the Team format race but one of my team mates is not able to make it for the race. Can I replace them? How do I go about doing so?
Yes, you are able to replace them with a new team mate using the Team Captain Tool. Here's how you do it: Go to your group page. Manage your group page. Edit Team Members Alternatively, the leaving team member can also edit their ticket information to reflect the new participant's information.
When and how can I access the event grid?
The event grid will be released in the week leading up to the event. An email will be sent to all registered participants with the event guide and a code to unlock the event grid. Do follow us on FB and IG and add [email protected] to your email's safe sender list to avoid our emails ending up in your junk mail.
What's the programme for race day?
0600 - Gates Open
0700 - Open Waves begin
1200 - Prize Presentation
1300 - Discovery Waves begin
1600 - Event Ends
Do I have to be there from 6am till 4pm?
We encourage Explorers to arrive at District Base an hour before their wave timing to ensure adequate time for registration and warm up, and to stay to enjoy the F&B and activities at District Base after their race.
Are there water points?
There will be hydration points within District Base. As there is no set route for District Race, there will not be any hydration points outside of Base.
