Mission Month

What is Mission Month: March?

Mission Month is a a month-long challenge from District where you collect checkpoints and run in you city to top the leaderboards. The explorer with the highest points at the end of March will win bragging rights and a Garmin Forerunner 935.

How do I join Mission Month?

Go the missions tab within the District app, click join, and you'll be placed into the challenge. It's that easy. Make sure you join the mission for your points to be counted towards to March Mission leaderboard.

How long does Mission Month run?

Mission Month starts on 1 March and ends on 31 March. What are you waiting for? Start exploring now.

What does it take to win Mission Month?

Consistency, dedication and a winning mindset.

All you have to do is sign up for Mission Month, collect checkpoints and complete run challenges in your city to gain points. All points gained will count towards your Mission Month score.

The Explorer with the highest points at the end of March will win a Garmin Forerunner 935.

When and where can I collect points for Mission Month?

What are the rules of the competition for Mission Month?

Running and walking only. The use of motorized vehicles, scooters, or bikes is strictly prohibited. The app will not allow you to collect checkpoints over a specific speed threshold. Anyone assumed to be cheating may be disqualified from the Mission by District.

How many points are checkpoints worth for Mission Month?

"Checkpoints in a District are worth 500 points upon first collection. After 24 hours, collect them again and again for 200 points each time.

Run Challenges can range from 5,000 - 10,000 points, depending on their difficulty and how many checkpoints you can reach in the 60-minute time frame."

Faster Than Munich is the running challenge from @adidasrunning where we pit you against the city and all of the many challenges its streets present. Get fit and explore your city to score points and stand to win a brand new pair of SL20.

How do I sign up for Faster Than Munich?

You can also find the list of available Missions in your area by going to the 'MORE' tab, and selecting 'Your Missions.'

Faster Than Munich will start on February 27 and end on April 22, 2020.

How can I win in Faster Than Munich?

Once you've downloaded the app, and signed up for the challenge, simply collect checkpoints and take part in challenges within District (in Munich) to gain points. All points gained will count towards your Faster Than score.

Anyone that collects all the checkpoints in a District, or scores over 2,000 points in a run challenge, will be placed into a raffle to win a brand-new pair of SL20 running shoes, we have 40+ pairs up for grabs. You can also get one entry (maximum) to the raffle for inviting friends via the link in the app.

Keep completing more Districts and Run Challenges for more entries to the raffle.

The Top 3 males and top 3 females on the overall Faster Than Munich leaderboard are guaranteed prizes.

What is District?

District uses the joy of discovery and urban exploration to motivate active living at any level.

District brings cities to life with virtual checkpoints and challenges spread across the city. With no set route and no set distance, you choose how you explore. Walk, jog, or run - District is for everyone.

How do I get started?

Download the District app from the App Store or from Google Play, register an account and you’re ready to go.

Select a District near you that suits your goals. Hit start, and you’re off.

What is Explore Mode?

Explore anytime, at your own pace. You get 500 points for collecting each checkpoint the first time. These will refresh after 24 hours and be worth 200 points each time after. Keep on exploring to rack up your all time leaderboard points. All Explorers will also receive extra points when completing 100% of a District.

What are Run Challenges?

Get our for a timed challenge to collect as many checkpoints as possible before your timer runs out. Push your limits. Run solo, or challenge a friend.

There are four types of Run Challenges:

DISCOVER - Collect as many checkpoints as you can before your timer runs out. With no set route and no set distance, you choose how you explore.

ROUTE - Collect all the checkpoints in this curated run route. Get to all the checkpoints in order, starting from the first checkpoint. Finish the run as quickly as you can to top the leaderboard.

LOOP - Collect all the checkpoints in this curated running Loop. You can start from any checkpoint, and collect them in any order. Run through all of them as quickly as you can to top the leaderboard.

CHASE - Collect the checkpoint nearest to you to uncover the next checkpoint in the sequence. The next checkpoint is only available for a limited time, so make sure you get there before your timer runs out. Rinse and repeat.

Are there different types of Checkpoints, and how do I collect these?

Points are awarded for successfully navigating to a checkpoint, which your app will detect via GPS technology. You will receive points for reaching the checkpoint, and sometimes additional points are available. Here are the different types:

CHECKPOINT - Collect checkpoints and earn points to top the leaderboard. Go to the location to collect points.

TIME TRIAL - Sprint from checkpoint A to B before time runs out. The faster you are, the more points you score.

DISCOVERY - Look for clues around you and answer a question about your location.

HIDDEN - Run to the hidden checkpoint when it appears. Get there before time runs out or it will disappear.

What if there is no District near me?

What should I do if I’m experiencing app issues?

Do ensure that you have GPS and location services turned on and that you do not have low power mode on. Ensure you have the latest version of the app from the app store. Try re-starting your app. If you are still experiencing any app issues, please email us at explore@districtrace.com

Can anyone use the District app?

Yes, District has something for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are a hardcore runner or just starting out on your fitness journey. We don’t pretend to be on the hunt for the next Usain Bolt. Get a bunch of friends together, fuel each other’s curiosity and explore your city like never before.

Is the District app free to use?

Yes. You can download the District App and start exploring your city today.

Why do I need to have location services enabled when I am using the District app?

Location services need to be enabled so that you can collect the checkpoints as you run, even if your app is running in the background.

Can I use a bike, scooter or motorised vehicle?

No. Leave your laziness at the door and level up your fitness. You can only navigate across the city on foot. We will be monitoring your activity, and any suspicious activities will be removed from our campaigns.

Are there prizes outside of the District Races?

We will be launching District Missions in each city, which includes a set time period where explorers can compete to top the leaderboard across their Districts. Prizes will be up for grabs for Mission winners, so stay tuned to our social pages for the next Mission.

District Race

What are District Races?

District Races are mass events that take place in cities around the world. This is the ultimate District experience bringing Explorers together to discover their city like never before. Racing as a team, you’ll start and finish at the centrally located District Base and use the District app to navigate through the city, collecting points as you clear checkpoints. With no set route and no set distance, you choose how you explore. Use a combination of strategy and speed to climb the leaderboard and collect the ultimate AR finisher medal.

How does District Race work?

First, buy your ticket. Get your crew together and sign up as a team.

On race day, you will start and finish at the centrally located District Base and then use the District app to navigate through the city, collecting as many checkpoints as you can.

There are 3 categories to choose from - Elite (4 hours), Open (2 hours), and Discovery (1 hour).

At the end of your race, return to the District Base to collect the ultimate AR finisher medal at the finish line, and stay to hangout for a good time with food, drinks, & more.
