What is District Race?District Race is unique team challenge event. Using the District App you will compete against hundreds of other teams to collect checkpoints and complete challenges around your city. Racing against the clock, the team with the most points wins.

Are tickets refundable?District Race tickets are sold as strictly non-refundable and refunds are not offered under any circumstances. Please find our full refund policy at exploredistrict.com/refund-policy Our Ticket Exchange Policy ensures that all tickets can be fully exchanged, so it's easy to switch to another District Race event. Can I exchange my ticket for a different event?Our Ticket Exchange Policy makes it easy to exchange your ticket for a different event. Simply check out our event schedule at exploredistrict.com/events and let us know which event (city and date) you would like to swap to. If you don't see a suitable option right away, don't worry - we will be adding many more dates and new events soon.

What is the maximum number of players allowed on my team?Teams can consist of up to 4 people, as the app restricts the number of players to 4 per team. If you have a larger group and want to participate, you'll need to purchase additional tickets and divide your group into two or more teams, but note, each team of 4 will have a separate score.

I have one ticket, can I have more than 4 in my team?One ticket admits a team of up to 4 players. You will receive 4 codes that can be used only once by each team member. If you would like play with more than 4 people, you will need to buy another ticket.

I have not received my order confirmation or event instructionsFirst, please check your email spam folders and search for "Explore District" in your email box. If you still can't locate our email, please contact us at explore@districtrace.com with your full name and the email address used to place the order, and we will be happy to resend it for you.

Is this event appropriate for children?Absolutely, this is an activity for the whole family. The event is however in an uncontrolled urban environment, so parental supervision is important at all times.

What happens if there is bad weather on the day of my event, will it be postponed?Our events usually proceed as scheduled, even in inclement weather, unless we determine that it's unsafe to do so. In such cases, we will notify you through the app and email. If you prefer to postpone your participation, our Ticket Exchange Policy allows you to exchange your ticket for a future event instead. How does the tree planting campaign work in District Race?For every 10,000 points accumulated during District Race, we pledge to plant one tree, via our partners One Tree Planted. Our aim is to plant 100,000 trees, contributing to a greener, more sustainable planet.

Can I give my ticket to someone else?Yes! If you can't attend the event for any reason, you may transfer your ticket to another person. One week prior to the event, we'll send you the event instructions. Simply forward these instructions to the new player, and they'll have everything they need to participate in the event.

Where does the event take place?Your ticket purchase will indicate the location of the checkpoints for the race. We will reveal a detailed map of all checkpoints one week before the event, so you can start planning your route in advance. Please note that the event doesn't have a physical setup and will take place entirely within the District App.

Are there minimum phone requirements to use District?To ensure you get the best experience when using the app, please ensure you have a minimum of the below phones/operating systems: iPhone - iPhone 7, iOS 11 Android - 6.0 Please note that for Android devices the app is avialable only on the Google Play store, and not the Huawei Gallery. Therefore certain Huawei devices will not be able to access the District App. Please ensure you have access to Google Play Store, and can download the app, before purchasing a ticket.

What is the District App?Hosted on the District app, District Race activates cities with virtual checkpoints and challenges, bringing together the digital and physical worlds. District brings cities to life with virtual checkpoints and challenges spread across the city. With no set route and no set distance, you choose how you explore. Walk, jog, or run - District is for everyone.

What happens at a District Race event?District Race events offer a one-of-a-kind outdoor experience where hundreds of teams race alongside each other. By using our District App, you'll be able to explore your city's streets in a whole new way, discovering new areas and completing challenges at various checkpoints. You're free to start from any location and begin anytime between 7 am and 7 pm on the event day - the choice is yours. You'll have 2 hours to collect as many checkpoints and score as many points as possible. Each event offers a chance to win several prizes, including awards for the top team, top individual, best photos, and more.

Are there different types of Checkpoints, and how do I collect these?Points are awarded for successfully navigating to a checkpoint, which your app will detect via GPS technology. You will receive points for reaching the checkpoint, and sometimes additional points are available. Here are the different types: CHECKPOINT (GREEN) - The core checkpoint type, simply go to the location to collect points. The harder they are to reach, the more points they are worth. QUIZ (YELLOW) - Look for clues around you and answer a question about your location. BOOST (PINK) - Receive double the number of points for a set period of time, boost your score by collecting as many checkpoints as you can in this time period HIDDEN - Run to the hidden checkpoint when it appears.

Can anyone use the District app?Yes, District has something for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are a hardcore runner or just want to explore your city. Get your friends together, fuel each other’s curiosity and explore your city like never before.

What time does the event start and finish?You can start your activity any time from 7am. It is up to you when and where you start. You have 2 hours to score as many points as you can. You will not be able to start an activity after 7pm. You do not need to book a start time, simply start the app and play at your own convenience.

How long do I have?Once you start, you have 2 hours to score as many points as possible.

How far will I walk or run?That's completely up to you. There is no set route or distance, so you need to plan the best route to score as many points as you can. Typically most participants cover between 10-15km.

What is the start location for the event?There is no fixed start location, you can start wherever you feel gives you the most chance of success. You will receive a map of all of the checkpoints one week prior to the event, so remember to check your spam or promotional folders if you can't find it.

Are there any staff physically present or real-life installations?No, everything is 100% virtual and the event is played through the District app. If you need to reach a staff member please send an email to explore@districtrace.com.

How much data does the app use?Downloading our app requires around 100mb, but individual data usage on game-day will vary, however we try to minimise data usage where possible.

What are the prizes?Prizes are avialable for the following categories: - Top Team - Lucky Draw - Best Social post And much more..... The full prize list will be announced prior to the event. All scores will be validated by our team after the event, and the winners contacted within 48 hours. Please note only team entries are eligible for prizes

I am the team captain. How do my other team members join?Team members join the game by entering the code given to them by the team camptain. All team members will have to create an account, choose their event, then enter their team code. This will place them automatically into their team.

To prevent any potential errors with the code, please ensure that you have input it accurately from your briefing email. Why do I need to have location services enabled when I am using the District app?Location services need to be enabled so that you can collect the checkpoints as you run, even if your app is running in the background.

We seem to be having GPS issues, can you help?Although we use the best available GPS technology, GPS can be influenced by various factors. The accuracy of the chip in your device and environmental conditions beyond our control can all affect GPS performance. In case of any confusion, please refer to our comprehensive GPS guide available at exploredistrict.com/GPS. If your GPS problem persists, you can still access the checkpoints as long as you're within a wider radius.

What if there is an issue with a checkpoint?If you are having issue with a checkpoint, relating to it being inaccessible via construction or any other reason, you can click on the checkpoint in the District App and report it to us. Don't worry, keep moving onto the next checkpoint and keep going! You can also reach out to us at explore@districtrace.com, let us know the issue you are having, and we will fix it ASAP.

Can I use a bike, scooter or motorised vehicle?No. Leave your laziness at the door and level up your fitness. You can only navigate across the city on foot. We will be monitoring your activity, and any suspicious activities will be disqualified.

Can we pause the game?No, once you begin the activity, you won't be able to pause it. You'll have a 2-hour window to collect as many points as possible, so it's essential to select the right time, location, and plan your route beforehand.

What should I do if I’m experiencing app issues?Do ensure that you have GPS and location services turned on and that you do not have low power mode on. Can I post my experience online?Definitely! We encourage you to share your photos and videos on social media using the hastag #exploredistrict. However, please avoid revealing the answers to any questions as this will spoil the experience for future participants.
