District Race Malaysia by AIA Vitality | Terms & Conditions

District Race Malaysia (1 March – 30 June 2021)

Terms and Conditions:

  1. District Race Malaysia [“Contest”] is organized by District Technologies Pte. Ltd. [“Organizer”]. The Contest will be held commencing from 1st March 2021 00:00 (GMT+8) and ends 23:59 (GMT+8) on 30th June 2021 [”Contest Period”]. The Contest is open to anyone over the age of 12 in Malaysia [“Participant’].
  2. During the Contest Period, there will be three (3) Grand Prize competitions:

2a. Lucky Car Competition (1st March to 30th June 2021) - Grand Prize: Lucky Draw - one lucky draw winner will win a free car.

2ai. For every 1 activity that a participant completes, they will receive 1 entry to the lucky draw.

2aii. Activities must have at least 2,000 points to be counted towards the lucky draw.

2aiii. Each participant can have a maximum of 121 entries into the lucky draw.

2b. Top 3 Overall (1st March to 30th June 2021) – Grand Prize: top 3 males and top 3 females on the overall Mission leaderboard will win a prize.

2bi. Participants may not win the Lucky Car competition and the Top 3 Overall. If a participant is the winner of the Lucky Car competition, they will be excluded from the Top 3 Overall and the prize will go to the next participant on the leaderboard. A participant can win the Lucky Car and still win monthly prizes.

2bii. Winners will be decided based on the total score on the overall Mission leaderboard.

2c. Biggest Team Overall (1st March to 30th June 2021) – Grand Prize: the biggest team will win a prize.

2ci. The team with the most team members in District Race Malaysia will win.

2cii. Each team member must have a total of at least 5,000 points during the campaign period. Points will be measured by the participants’ score on the overall Mission leaderboard.

2cii. The total number of team members will be counted on the last day of the campaign.

2civ. Team members must be based in Malaysia.

2cv. Once a team has been created by a participant, anyone will be able to join the team.

2cvi. A maximum of 250 merch packs, each consisting of an official District tee-shirt and a medal, will be given to the winning team.

2d. Employees of District, and their immediate family members are not eligible for the prizes.

2di. As the presenting sponsor for District Race Malaysia 2021, AIA Malaysia’s permanent Employees, contract Staff and contracted Life Planners are not eligible to enter the 'Lucky Car Competition' as stated in Section 2a of this T&C where 1 lucky draw winner will win a free car. For other competitions, they are eligible.

AIA Malaysia comprises AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., AIA General Berhad, AIA Health Services Sdn. Bhd. and AIA Pension and Asset Management Sdn. Bhd.

2e. Any irregularities with a participant's activities will be investigated. If that participant is assumed to be cheating or gaining an unfair advantage in any way, they will be disqualified immediately and removed from winning any prizes. This decision is at the sole discretion of the Organizer and no appeals will be entertained.

2f. The Organizer reserves the right to change the prize items to another item of equal value.

2g. Only activities completed in Malaysia will contribute towards the competitions for prizes.

2h. Activities from Explore Mode, Just Run and Run Challenges will count towards the leaderboard.

2i. Participants must be aged 16 and above to be eligible for prizes.

2j. Winners will be announced on or before 30 July 2021.

  1. During the Contest Period, there will be four (4) Monthly Prize competitions:

3a. March Top 2 (1st March to 31st March 2021) – the top male and top female on the overall Mission leaderboard will win a prize.

3ai. The 1 male and 1 female with the highest score on the District Race Malaysia leaderboard between 1st March 2021 and 31st March 2021 will be declared winners.

3aii. Activities from Explore Mode, Just Run and Run Challenges recorded between 1st March 2021 and 31st March 2021 will count towards the leaderboard.

3aiv. Winners will be announced on or before 30 April 2021.

3b. March Most Committed (1st March to 31st March 2021) – lucky draw for the 3 most committed individuals will win a prize.

3bi. For every 1 activity that a participant completes between 1st March and 31st March 2021, they will receive 1 entry to the lucky draw.

3bii. Activities must have at least 2,000 points to be counted towards the lucky draw.

3biii. Each participant can have a maximum of 31 entries into the lucky draw.

3biv. Activities from Explore Mode, Just Run and Run Challenges will count towards the leaderboard.

3bv. Winners for March Top 2 cannot also win March Most Committed.

3bvi. Winners will be announced on or before 30 April 2021.

3c. Highest Average Team Score (12th April to 16th May 2021) – Highest average team score during this time period will win a prize.

3ci. The team with the highest average team score (total team points, divided by the number of members in their team) will win a prize.

3cii. To be eligible, the winning team must have at least 4 team members.

3ciii. Each team member must score at least 5,000 points in total between 12th April 2021 and 16th May 2021.

3civ. Team members with less than 5,000 total points scored between 12th April 2021 and 16th May 2021 will not be included in the average points calculation.

3cv. Only activities completed in Malaysia will contribute toward the District Race Malaysia Mission leaderboard.

3cvi. Activities from Explore Mode, Just Run and Run Challenges recorded between 12th April 2021 and 16th May 2021 will count towards the leaderboard.

3cvii. Winners will be announced on or before 15 June 2021.

3d. Social Media Contest (1st June to 30th June 2021) - Social Media Contest winner will win a prize.

3di. Post a photo, video or story to Facebook or Instagram of you participating in District Race Malaysia by AIA Vitality, and a screenshot of your activity with at least 2,000 points. ⁣You must tag @AIAMalaysia and @DistrictRaceMY in your post.

3dii. Social media profiles must be public for a chance to win.

3diii. Each post or story posted between 1st June 2021 and 30th June 2021 will count as 1 entry to the lucky draw.

3div. Participants can have a maximum of 30 entries into the draw.

3dv. Winners will be announced on or before 30 July 2021.

3e. Any irregularities with a participant's activities will be investigated.   1. Get Fit For Charity, a fundraising campaign, will run from 12 April to 16 May, 2021. During this time, AIA will donate to National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) for points scored by participants.

4a. For every 100 points scored by participants in District Race Malaysia, AIA will donate RM1 to National Cancer Society Malaysia. They will donate up to RM50,000 for up to 5,000,000 points scored in the Mission.

4b. Only activities completed in Malaysia will contribute toward the Charity campaign.

4c. Activities from Explore Mode, Just Run and Run Challenges recorded between 12th April 2021 and 16th May 2021 will count towards the charity campaign.

4d. Activities that are disqualified, immediately or at a later time, will not contribute to the total amount donated.

  1. Participants are only allowed to travel on foot during any activity. No wheels of any kind, including but not limited to bicycles, skateboards, and scooters. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any offending participants accordingly. This decision is at the sole discretion of the Organizer and no appeals will be entertained.
  2. The Organizer reserves its rights to change or remove Checkpoint locations and points values without any prior notice and reason.
  3. The Organizer reserves its rights to change the location and dates of the Contest.
  4. The Organizer reserves the right to change the design of the Contest’s AR medal, virtual AR pieces, and tee.
  5. The prizes are not exchangeable and/or transferable. Failure to accept a prize by the winners when required to do so shall constitute a rejection by such winner(s) and the Organizer reserves it rights to award the prize to another winner(s).
  6. The Organizer reserves its rights to publish or display materials or information, including but not limited to the names of all Participants for marketing, advertising and publicity purposes in any manner it deems appropriate. The Organizer further reserves its right to use any personal data of Participants in any manner and/or for any purpose it deems fit and the Participants are deemed to consent to such use with no monetary payment.
  7. The Organizer reserves its right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Contest with or without any prior notice and reason. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by the Organizer shall not entitle the Participants to any claim or compensation against the Organizer or the Contest’s sponsors for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
  8. By participating in the Contest, Participants are deemed to agree to be bound by the Terms and subject to the Conditions herein set out upon submission of entry. The terms and conditions herein shall prevail over any inconsistent terms, conditions, provisions or representations contained in any other promotional or advertising materials for the Contest. In the event of any inconsistency, conflict, ambiguity or discrepancy between the English version and any other languages version of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail at all times.
  9. The Organizer reserves its right to vary, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions and/or substitute or replace the gifts from time to time without any prior notice.
  10. The decisions of the Organizer in relation to every aspect of the Contest, including but not limited to, the type of prize and winner shall be deemed final and conclusive under any circumstance and no complaint from any Participants will be entertained.
  11. The decisions appointed by the Organizer are final, conclusive and binding and no further appeal, enquiry and/or correspondence will be entertained.
  12. Participants and Winner(s) shall not hold the Organizer or the Contest’s sponsors liable for the outcome of the Contest.
  13. The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash or any other benefits in kind.
  14. The Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner(s) is unable to use the Prize as stated.
  15. The Contest Prizes are given and accepted entirely at the risk of the winners. Any and all prize-related expenses, including tax liabilities (if any) in relation to this Contest, prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same, shall be the sole responsibility of the winners.
  16. District Technologies Pte. Ltd. (Organizer) and the Contest’s sponsors shall bear no responsibility for any damage, loss (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss), liability, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by the winner or their guest in connection with this Contest, the promotion of this Contest or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
  17. This Contest shall in all respect be governed by the laws of Malaysia. By entering this Contest, the Participants agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
  18. District Technologies Pte. Ltd. retains the right to substitute the Prize with another of similar value in the event the original Prize offered is not available due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
  19. Participants must be aged 12 and above to join the Contest. The age of participants is based on the date of activity. For safety reasons, each participant under the age of 16 must only participate when accompanied by an adult.
  20. By participating in the Contest, Participants are deemed to agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions and deemed to give their consent for collection of personal information that is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is available at www.exploredistrict.com and also subject to the Conditions herein set out upon entry to the Contest.
  21. You agree that District Technologies may collect, use, share and disclose your personal data, obtained by our organization with your consent, to AIA Malaysia and/or its service providers which shall be used for the purpose of the Contest and as set forth in the Contest Terms. For the avoidance of doubt, the word “Personal Data” shall have the same meaning ascribed to in the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
